ABOUT THE ARTIST

Seduced by color my paintings are inspired by the landscape where i live. My pallet is vibrant and colorful with lots of texture. I almost always work in oils in an abstract impressionist style. I'm an Irish artist from the southwest of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic coast . I have always lived in the countryside and flowers and hedgerow and the sea are an integral part of my paintings. Over the years i have found myself exploring more abstract ways to paint and painting abstract florals allows me to interpret natural beauty creatively. I love abstract floral paintings in the kitchen because i think it brings the outside in. I enjoy creating something new and hope you enjoy looking around my my page.

ARTWORK STORY

An oil painting on canvas of waves coming into the coast from the Atlantic Ocean. The color of the sea wave is dark blue with lots of white to give the impression of waves splashing onto the shoreline. This is painted with brush and pallet knife with lots of texture on a deep edge canvas with the deep edges of the canvas left white and ready to hang. It would look good in a box frame also as shown in some of the images.
