How do you select the artworks available for sale?
We carefully select our artists, who then choose the works they wish to sell. However, we moderate the content and may reject artworks that do not align with our terms of service or meet our quality standards.
Who can sell their work on New Art Day?
Our artists are typically well-established, and we identify talent from around the globe to offer a diverse, high-quality international selection. We are also open to newcomers if we find their work compelling.
Are the artworks available as prints?
All works on New Art Day are original artworks. In the case of photography, engravings, and sometimes sculptures, editions and series are strictly limited, and the quantity is always specified by the artist. Reproductions and prints are not available on New Art Day.
What is an edition?
An edition refers to a limited number of copies of a work, commonly seen in photography. The edition size is set by the artist before the first sale and remains unchanged. For example, an established artist might limit an edition to 10 copies, while an emerging photographer may offer a larger edition. Generally, the smaller the edition, the higher its value.
Is a certificate of authenticity provided?
Yes, all artworks sold on New Art Day come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Editions (e.g., photographs, prints) are also numbered and signed.
The work I wanted is no longer available. Can I commission a similar piece?
Many of our artists accept commissions! If the artwork you love is no longer available, feel free to reach out directly through the contact form on the artist's profile page to discuss a commissioned piece.
Are all the works on New Art Day for sale?
Not always, as some works may have already been sold. If a piece is sold, it will be marked on the artwork page. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to contact the artist to explore commission opportunities!
Why are sold artworks still displayed online?
It's up to each artist to decide whether they want to display sold artworks online. Generally, we recommend that artists keep their sold pieces visible to showcase the diversity and quality of their work, as well as their popularity.
What about framing?
Some artists provide their works already framed and can share photos of the frame with you. If you don't like the included frame, or if the work is unframed, make arrangements directly through the contact form on the artist's profile page.

Simply browse our collection or use the search and filter options to explore pieces that match your preferences.
What does the heart icon next to artworks do?
The heart icon lets you save your favorite artworks to a single page. To view your favorites, click the heart in the main menu. To keep your favorites for future visits and access them across devices, we recommend creating an account.
Is the image online an accurate representation of the artwork?
Yes, the image online is an accurate depiction of the artwork, but it is not contractually binding, as colors and details may vary depending on the device you’re using. If the artwork you receive doesn’t meet your expectations, please contact the artist directly to arrange a return or exchange. However, you shouldn’t worry—many collectors tell us the work is even more stunning in person!
