ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bozena Kot is a contemporary painter whose work explores the interplay of memory, matter, and light. Rooted in abstraction and expressive texture, her practice creates dynamic surfaces where traces of past experiences, layered paint, and subtle shifts of colour evoke movement and temporality. Her paintings often suggest transitional states - suspended between what has been and what is yet to come - inviting viewers into a reflective and immersive experience.

ARTWORK STORY
“Illusions 12” is a mixed-media work on HDF board exploring the interplay of perception, memory, and inner light. Deep blacks and violets contrast with subtle highlights and layered textures. A raised, tactile fragment of raw linen in the lower part adds an organic, three-dimensional element, while fine glitter particles create a delicate shimmer. The artwork is varnished, ready to hang, and available exclusively framed in black.
