ABOUT THE ARTIST

Architect by training, educator in Art History and Drawing, and multidisciplinary artist, Marco Ronga has pursued a lifelong creative vocation that has led him to exhibit across major Italian cities and prestigious international venues. An award-winning painter and sculptor, his work has been featured in international art publications and global exhibitions. Ronga’s signature style seamlessly weaves together portraiture, the human figure, and the evocative structures of urban architecture and landscape—creating what can best be described as "portraits of places and landscapes of bodies." Working primarily in acrylics and oils on canvas and wood panels, his pieces explore the visual and conceptual dialogue between space, form, and human emotion.

ARTWORK STORY

This painting depicts the reflections of the city of Padua in the window of the Bar Caffeine. The café is dimly lit, and the window reflects the buildings on the street like a mirror. Inside, however, artificial light illuminates the furnishings, which are once again visible from the outside. The images recompose randomly, like a kaleidoscope. The simultaneous viewing gives the image a very contemporary feel. The canvas is also painted on the sides to allow it to be displayed unframed.
