Bernhard Lang

Bernhard Lang | Aerial Views Since 2010, Bernhard Lang has been refining his acclaimed project "Aerial Views," capturing the world from the open doors of helicopters and small aircraft. His work seeks out the intricate patterns and structures etched into the Earth's surface, specifically focusing on the visible impact of human activity on the environment. By freeing the viewer from the bonds of gravity, Lang’s photography encourages a detached, contemplative look at our global footprint. His work investigates a compelling duality: the strange, often beautiful balance between aesthetic perfection and environmental destruction, and the precarious struggle for symbiosis between humanity and nature. Recognition & Publications A multi-award-winning photographer, Lang has earned top honors including: 1st Place: Sony World Photography Awards 1st Place: International Photography Awards (IPA) Nominee: Prix Pictet His imagery has been featured in premier global publications such as National Geographic, The Guardian, The Washington Post, and ZEIT Magazin. He has also collaborated on artistic content for brands including Apple, Aston Martin, and Akris. His work is held in numerous private and corporate collections worldwide. The photographs presented here are available as exclusively limited editions.
