ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bea Schubert, born in 1959, is an artist who not only saw the world but absorbed it deeply within herself. Her artistic journey began with studying at the renowned University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig under the guidance of Professor Hermann Albert, where she learned the fundamentals of painting. However, the true turning point in her career came after her studies when she decided to depart from the conventional path and spent eight years exploring the world with nothing but a backpack.
This journey was more than just an adventure; it was a quest for light and color in a often dark world, a pursuit of joy and vibrancy amidst global catastrophes. This profound experience shaped her artistic vision and led her back to her true calling: painting. Here, she found her unique voice: Bea combines vibrant neon colors with everyday objects to create works that exude pure joy of life. Her preference for large canvases allows her to create a visual impact that captivates viewers. The theme in her art is childhood.
Bea Schubert, whose studio is located in the sunny island of Mallorca, has made a name for herself internationally. Her artworks are presented and esteemed in galleries and prestigious art fairs worldwide. Impressive also is the recognition her work has received from renowned institutions such as the German Embassy in Athens and the Chagall Museum in Vitebsk, Belarus. Additionally, her works find their place in important international collections.

ARTWORK STORY
"Life is for the brave No.1" is a large abstract painting, an acrylic on canvas measuring 120x60 cm. Warm pastel colors like peach, rose, mint, and sand blend together in a lyrical abstraction. The artwork is varnished, enhancing its texture and ensuring its longevity.
Sweeping brushstrokes and layered textures create an energizing composition. Symbols emerge from the abstract background, including a resilient cactus, swaying palm trees, and a welcoming house, each holding personal meaning.
