Laure Polin's sculptures are born from a careful dialogue with the material. Bronze, slate, tire: materials distant by their nature, but brought together in the same pursuit of tension, transformation, and presence. Each material retains a memory. Through these surfaces, sometimes rough, sometimes smooth or dark, the artist brings out organic, unstable, sensitive forms. The works seem to slowly emerge from the material itself, as if they had always existed within it. Laure Polin's work seeks neither to dominate the material nor to erase its history. On the contrary, she accompanies its resistances, tensions, and fragilities. Her sculptures thus maintain a subtle balance between strength and restraint, density and movement, memory and transformation. Each form becomes the imprint of a material rendered sensitive.
