Magdalena Kaczmarczyk is a Polish contemporary digital artist based in Belgium. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, she works at the intersection of photography, digital manipulation, abstraction, and emotional expression.
Her artistic process begins with her own photographic material, which she transforms through digital techniques and AI-assisted experimentation into intensely layered abstract compositions. Rather than reproducing reality, Magdalena uses photography as a starting point for exploring what exists beneath it—the fragments of memory, emotion, longing, solitude, desire, and the constantly shifting landscape of the mind.
Colour is central to her visual language. Deep blues, electric cyan, fiery orange, crimson, violet, black and white collide in works that often feel simultaneously intimate and expansive. Her compositions contain movement, depth and tension, reflecting the complexity of inner experience.
Much of her work is deeply personal. Loneliness, introspection, emotional vulnerability, human connection and the search for meaning frequently appear beneath the abstract surface. Her paintings are not intended to provide a single interpretation; instead, they invite viewers to recognize something of their own inner world within the chaos of colour and form.
Through her practice, Purple Soul transforms personal experience into visual language—turning feelings that are difficult to articulate into places the viewer can enter. Her art exists somewhere between memory and imagination, reality and abstraction, silence and confession.
“I don't create what I see. I transform what I feel into something that can be seen.”
