ABOUT THE ARTIST
Photography, for me, is not a means to document reality, but to interpret it, giving it back in forms that speak to emotionality and the inner gaze. I start from blur, from a gesture that distorts the visible and transforms the ordinary. Through this process, subjects lose their original form and recompose themselves into new visual experiences.
Far from realism, these images evoke fleeting geometries and chromatic vibrations – sometimes ethereal, other times more decisive – but always engaging. My research begins with this question: can colors heal?
The hues and shapes that emerge seem to bring a breath of beauty to the human soul, an intimate caress, a silent suspension.
The final image becomes abstract – not through digital manipulation, but by surrendering to the intangible, to chance, to emotion. The living matter of the scene evolves into something else.
My approach is meditative, aware, and strongly influenced by my experience in Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft. The creative process matters more to me than the final result: I trust instinct, chance, the non-tangible. The 'how' becomes my guarantee, the medium through which everything can manifest.
I have been taking photographs since I was 14 years old – since then, the camera has become an extension of my gaze on the world. Over time, I have deepened my technique and vision, drawing inspiration from masters like Ansel Adams and refining in particular black and white development and printing. Today I continue to experiment, letting the gesture precede control, letting the image arise from a state of presence.
My way of proceeding is my only certainty; trust is the medium that allows the image to happen. My intent is to create visual spaces in which to get lost – not to escape, but to feel.
My photography does not describe: it shares a state of being.
