My Work
I work with material as one questions memory: with hesitation and then
insistence.
This material today circulates from one space to another, from canvas to screen,
from code to paper.
My work explores the transformation of images between the digital and the
physical.
I develop a continuous dialogue where each medium informs and reconfigures
the other. Digital forms can become the basis for paintings, while hand-created
textures are digitized, modified, and reintegrated into new compositions. Code
functions as a tool alongside traditional techniques, allowing me to generate
structures, repetitions, and controlled disruptions that I then confront with the
unpredictability of material processes.
What interests me is the moment when the image shifts from one state to
another. A digital image gains presence and resistance when it becomes physical,
while a painted surface can lose its stability when it is digitized and transformed.
Through this process, I seek to reveal the image as something unstable and
constantly evolving.
Time is central to this approach. In painting, it appears through layering,
accumulation, and erasure. In digital media, it manifests as continuous
transformation. By bringing these temporalities together, I create works that bear
both the trace of the gesture and that of the process.
Rather than separating the techniques, I consider painting, coding, printing, and
image manipulation as part of the same movement: a continuous transformation
of matter. Each work is a moment within this cycle, never completely fixed,
always becoming.
