ABOUT THE ARTIST
Painting with color, My Mind Spray. Abstract, surreal, street, and popular culture are injected into the paintings. Whether my paintings are large-scale or small I try to design my art to force the viewer to see the picture scene by scene. The subject is as important as the translation of the subject. I begin with a subject, but in the process the painting makes its own demands. Ultimately the painting is about itself. I am all about painting and teaching with passion, helping artists young and old take this journey with me.

When I paint eyes I see rivers not lines. The eyes are so interesting. It shows character, beauty and age. It is like going beneath the skin. My eyes are alive and intense, not painting dead eyes. Post No Bills- I try not to put up false images of individuals. The eyes represent whoever they are. Allow the imagination to see as much as the eyes. Afro-Realism...painting with color.
