[Focus] Esther Ramos, Ruedas afortunadas (2025)
Two circular forms dominate the composition like suspended signs or ritual objects. Their concentric structure gives the impression of slow rotation across the surface, as if the image were activated from within.
Blue saturates almost the entire work and gives the surface a luminous, almost immaterial atmosphere. Against this intense background, the circular forms appear dense and tactile. Their repeated marks evoke mosaics, scales or mineral textures. Between them, a pale spiral-like motif introduces a lighter visual rhythm.
The work reflects Esther Ramos’s idea of “Cosmic Art,” where painting becomes a space of transmission and contemplation. The forms do not function as fixed symbols. They open a more intuitive reading of the image, guided by rhythm, repetition and sensation.
The image carries a strong, almost hypnotic presence. The circular motifs take on the appearance of talismans or charged objects, giving the composition a quiet mystical energy that extends beyond the surface itself.
