Ruth Poniarski

I graduated from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY with a professional degree in architecture, 1982. I worked in the field all over Manhattan for nearly a decade. I survived a fatal accident which changed the course of my life. In 1988 I turned to painting. Given the discipline I developed from pursuing architecture, I slowly created a personal style in my works, drawing from art history, culture, daily life, philosophy, literature, memory and dreams, as I take the viewer on a poetic journey through my lens as an artist.
