Michaël Brack is a French painter and draftsman whose oils, inks, and charcoals evoke unsettling atmospheres of emptiness and solitude. Inspired by his own photographs, he distills scenes into minimal yet powerful images—winding passages, corridors, and stairs that open onto a universe of haunting strangeness.

ARTWORK STORY

A rather minimalist work on the theme of winter. I mainly wanted to play on the contrast between the snow and the reddish/brown bricks of the building. The pole is there to balance the composition.
