ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Ute Laum and I am a professional artist, living and working in Germany. My favorite themes are the special nature and my surrounding in Northern Germany. My preferred working method is acrylic on canvas in a semi abstract way. I paint abstractly and thus reflect moments of memory and impressions in my works, but also leave the viewer room for contemplation.
My works are to be found in private collections in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Israel, the USA, Canada and in the United Arab Emirates.

A homage to the stunning Northern landscape, "Rough Frost V" captures the serene beauty of winter. This abstract painting, rendered in highly pigmented acrylics from Switzerland on canvas, evokes a sense of the natural world through gestural marks and a cool blue-green palette. The surface is varnished with a matte finish and UV protection. This original, large-sized artwork is ready to hang and does not require framing, as the sides of the canvas are also painted. It will be shipped in a crate.
