ABOUT THE ARTIST

A graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca and in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Burgos, he has received an outstanding academic education, complemented by experience abroad thanks to Erasmus scholarships he undertook in Portugal and Belgium. His artistic practice focuses primarily on oil, acrylic, watercolour and paper, through which he creates paintings, drawings and collages. His style is characterised by a rich, vivid and expressive colour palette, as well as a plastic compositional style, with dynamic and unusual perspectives, influenced by his passion for analogue photography. The themes he addresses in his works are “landscapes, still lifes and portraits… that’s all” , to quote David Hockney’s famous phrase. Although his work is rooted in figurative representation, he has recently begun experimenting with geometric abstraction, always on large and expansive canvases. This artist has taken part in numerous exhibitions across the country, with a particular focus on northern Spain. For over 21 years, he has exhibited his work in various locations, such as Burgos, Teruel, Vitoria and Salamanca, where his work is particularly well-regarded. Furthermore, he has won painting awards both nationally and internationally, demonstrating his talent and recognition within the art world. In addition to his presence in exhibitions, his works form part of numerous private collections worldwide. This demonstrates that his work is appreciated not only by the general public, but also by collectors and art lovers who value his unique style and technical skill. In summary, this painter has built an outstanding artistic career, focusing on oil painting, paper and watercolour. His work is characterised by its rich colour palette, his sculptural compositional style and his unusual perspectives. With numerous exhibitions and awards at both national and international levels, his work forms part of private collections across the globe.

In the distance, the forest fades into soft greens and touches of light,
