ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ramon Bruin is an experienced artist from the Netherlands whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows internationally. Working in the styles of abstract-expressionism and pop art, Bruin creates vibrant paintings in mixed media that emphasize contrasts between colors and forms. ARTWORK STORY

I usually paint stories that I have experienced. Cheeseplatter is a unique story that I haven't experienced yet! For over a year, a friend and I have been trying to plan a crazy night out in Amsterdam, but so far, we haven't succeeded. Because it kept getting stuck in my head, I thought about it a lot, and for me, the only way to find peace of mind is to paint what I have held in my thoughts.
