ABOUT THE ARTIST

Originally from South Finistère, Frédéric CADIOU draws inspiration from Breton landscapes, deeply rooted in light and the horizon. His works capture suspended moments where nature engages in dialogue with human perception. Cast shadows, elongated lines, and refined compositions: each painting reveals a subtle tension between depth and minimalism. Through a controlled palette and pronounced contrasts, the artist creates calm, almost meditative atmospheres. The viewer’s gaze is guided toward the horizon, between silence, space, and contemplation. A style of painting where light structures the landscape and shadow becomes a language.

ARTWORK STORY

This painting by Frédéric Cadiou depicts a vibrant coastal scene, dominated by shades of intense blue. A path of clear sand, bordered by blue fences with elongated shadows, guides the eye towards the horizon where the sea meets a luminous sky. Stylized branches, dotted with white and blue touches, frame the composition from above, adding an aerial depth. The work captures the essence of a sunny day at the water’s edge with a refined chromatic palette and visual dynamism.
