ABOUT THE ARTIST

Her work is characterized by a search for unique effects, combining flowing color gradients, sharp contrasts, and color gradations—often accompanied by a vibrant dose of chance that breathes life into her pieces. As a physician, she has always had a predilection for the extraordinary and for people, and has therefore worked as a doctor in Germany's largest prison and in acute psychiatric care. Her works are a reference to the unconscious processing of every human being. She dilutes acrylic paints with water and applies them in numerous transparent layers. This technique creates overlays and depths of color that take the viewer on a visual journey between reality and abstraction. Her style is an homage to classical landscape painters, while simultaneously incorporating strong abstract elements to bridge the gap to modern art. Her work combines organic, natural impulses with experimental techniques, so that each painting represents a unique symbiosis of control and chance.

ARTWORK STORY

When your soul is overloaded and your mind and thoughts are flying in all directions, it's time to radically declutter. This doesn't mean that the occasional thought won't stray in the wrong direction and everything will run smoothly, but eliminating what burdens you has a cleansing effect.
