ABOUT THE ARTIST

Oleksii Gnievyshev is a highly professional artist and master of realistic painting. He was born in 1991 in Ukraine. He successfully graduated from the Kyiv Academy of Arts and studied for five years under the private tutelage of teacher Volodymyr Bahalika. Since 2014, he has lived and worked in Brühl, Germany. His works are held in private collections and museums around the world.

ARTWORK STORY

My work fuses realism and surrealism to capture a deep, symbolic scene. The depiction of this floating body in a seemingly infinite ocean represents confronting one's subconscious and seeking inner clarity. The dark tones and play of light and shadow are intended to explore the emotionality and depth of the human psyche. This image is intended to inspire the viewer to reflect on personal boundaries and the unfathomable depths of the mind. It will bring a powerful, thoughtful energy to any home.
