ABOUT THE ARTIST

Amédé Flum, inspired by the euphoria of Impressionism, works as a painter, draftsman, and sculptor. His distinctive technique, that consists of reducing forms to their most essential lines, is particularly evident in his wire sculptures, often combined with found objects and electronic elements. Whether through drawing or sculpture, Amédé Flum explores dynamic interactions between humans and animals, capturing fleeting moments with an element of chance. His work conveys a subtle emotional depth, where each twisted wire evokes hidden layers of existence and the ever-present drive to explore the unknown.

ARTWORK STORY

This sculpture, made of black egg-dyed iron wire, shows a female body in a very reduced way - reading a newspaper. Amédé Flum tried to depict this scene with maximum reduction.
