WHY

Acrylic on gilded panel, sealed with multiple layers of high gloss varnish. The edges are painted pewter so can be hung as it is, or could be framed if desired. I tend to avoid high gloss varnish as it's very difficult to photograph, but it does accentuate the metal leaf surface and the transparent colours, I was really pleased how it came out in this case. This was an experimental painting using large stencils and transparent colours on a smallish format.
