ABOUT THE ARTIST

Oleksii Gnievyshev is a highly professional artist and master of realistic painting. He was born in 1991 in Ukraine. He successfully graduated from the Kyiv Academy of Arts and studied for five years under the private tutelage of teacher Volodymyr Bahalika. Since 2014, he has lived and worked in Brühl, Germany. His works are held in private collections and museums around the world.

ARTWORK STORY

In this work I intertwine realism with symbolic depth to represent the duality of vulnerability and strength. The resting figure, with a nest on her belly, symbolizes protection and rebirth, while the dark water around her refers to life's inevitable challenges.
