ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ramon Bruin is an experienced artist from the Netherlands whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows internationally. Working in the styles of abstract-expressionism and pop art, Bruin creates vibrant paintings in mixed media that emphasize contrasts between colors and forms. He adds a light sense of humor to his artworks, hoping to bring joy to viewers.

ARTWORK STORY

Circle Birthday is inspired by the typical Dutch birthday parties where everybody is sitting in the a circle in the livingroom .You always end up next to the boring uncle or the bragging neighbour. People from different layers of the society are somehow obliged to interact with each other, which gives a super tense atmosphere. Very inspiring and fun to watch. That is what inspired me to create this huge painting. Even Bob Ross attended the party and some uncle claiming to be Bob.
